Alisha
This is a photo I took of my friend Alisha a couple of weeks before she gave birth. Silas is here... I can't wait to meet him! 
Roll number one.
I'll admit it, I'm afraid of film. It has been years since I relied on it, but I miss it. I miss having to wait to see my images. I miss that Christmas morning feeling, I miss how it takes my breath away.... Roll number one.

Julia's Bridal Portraits
Yes, she really is that beautiful. And no, she is not a professional model. Though the hair & make up done professionally by the amazingly talented Giselle & Leah!
I can't wait to share images from Will & Julia's wedding yesterday. In the meantime I'm squealing with delight that I get to share these bridal photos. We had a wonderful time taking these. I do maybe 3 bridal shoots a year, so we went a little crazy. So much fun! Perfect weather, perfect lighting... just me and Julia wondering around my favorite little mansion in Maryland. :-)
All shot with either my Nikon 50mm 1.4 or 85mm 1.4... almost always wide open! Available light only, camera raw, 5-10 second adjustments in Lightroom. Surprisingly those big window shots are nearly straight out of the camera... thanks to the 85mm.

Chip & Drew 8.28.10
I loved the images from Chip & Drew's family farm wedding from last month! Many thanks to Susan (one of my fabulous second shooters) for her incredible photographic contributions on this one! I've never put so many landscape images in one blog post.... Burke's Garden was gorgeous!
