I was in West Seattle this morning taking in the views of the shipping yards, and TRIED to capture what I could see across the water. Pardon the haze. If you zoom in on the ocean photo you can see seals barking.

monkey puzzle & a bull dog
So here I am. Unemployed and in Seattle taking photographs of random things. I'll attempt to diversify my subjects and locations in the next few days. The weather is beautiful and I'm afraid that at any moment the rain drops will begin to fall.
The monkey puzzle tree is interesting. Araucaria araucana (Pehuén or Monkey-puzzle) is the hardiest species in the conifer genus Araucaria. It is native to central Chile and west central Argentina, and is an evergreen tree growing to 40 m tall and 2 m trunk diameter. It is an example of a living fossil. It is considered as the national tree of Chile.
The bulldog is named Greta and I really love her!
